#First BASTARD Anime Trailer, Opening & Ending Artist Revealed

Warner Bros. Japan released the first anime teaser trailer for BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark fantasy-. The anime is confirmed for 24 episodes and will be two-cours. Netflix will be streaming the anime worldwide in 2022.

Additional cast members were also announced: Kanae Ito (Ruiko Saten from A Certain Scientific Railgun) as Lushe Renren, Tomokazu Sugita (Joseph Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure) as Dark Priest Abigail, Kensho Ono (Giorno Giovanna from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind) as Kall-Su, and Nao Toyama (Ruka Sarashina from Rent-a-Girlfriend) as Princess Sheila. 

The opening theme song will be performed by Coldrain (Fire Force 2nd opening) while the ending theme song will be performed by Tielle (MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM UNICORN RE:0096 opening vocalist). 

The dark fantasy series features Dark Schneider, a legendary wizard who’s over 400 years old, stuck in the body of a 14-year-old boy. Magical powers are the lifeline to surviving the dystopian world filled with monsters and evil wizards.

The main staff includes Takaharu Ozaki as director, Yosuke Kuroda (My Hero Academia) as series composer, Saki Ono as character designer, Yasunori Ebina (BORUTO) as sound director, and Yasuharu Takanashi (ZOMBIE LAND SAGA, BORUTO) as music composer. LIDEN FILMS is in charge of the animation production.
