A security officer was wounded in a drive-by shooting outside the federal courthouse in Phoenix, according to reports Tuesday.

A suspect was later taken into custody and officials don’t believe there’s any “continued threat to public safety,” the FBI said.

An investigation is ongoing and no additional information available, the bureau added.

The incident took place around 11:30 a.m. local time in front of the Sandra Day O’Connor US Courthouse, according to reports.

The unidentified officer, who works for the US Marshals Service, was struck in their protective vest, The Associated Press said, citing a law enforcement source.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.

Cops also released a surveillance image of silver vehicle leaving after following the shooting, according to azcentral.com.

The incident followed Saturday’s shootings of two Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies who were critically wounded during an ambush by a gunman who walked up to their parked vehicle and opened fire.

The deputies — a 31-year-old mother and a 24-year-old man — were both shot in the head but are expected to survive in what LA Sheriff Alex Villanueva has called a “double miracle.”

Their assailant remains at large and a motive for the unprovoked attack in Compton is unknown.
