#Fate/strange Fake TV Anime Releases New Teaser Visual, Announcement Video

The recently announced Fate/strange Fake TV anime series has received a Japan version teaser visual and an announcement video.

Like the previous teaser visual, Ayaka Sajou and Saber are the sole featured characters in the new promotional image.

Fate/strange Fake is based on the KADOKAWA-published light novel series written by Ryohgo Narita and illustrated by Shizuki Morii, one of the many titles in the massive Fate multimedia franchise. A TV special titled Fate/strange Fake -Whispers of Dawn-, which was originally meant to be released as part of the Fate Project New Year’s Eve TV Special, premiered recently at Anime Expo 2023, Crunchyroll, and Japanese television.

The Type-Moon wiki describes the light novel series’ plot as:

Fate/strange Fake takes place around 2009. The plot centers around a Grail War faultily copied from the Third Holy Grail War in Fuyuki. After the end of the third Grail War, an organization from the United States that has magi separate from the London-based Mage Association as members took data from Fuyuki’s Grail War and planned their own ritual. After seventy years, they used the city Snowfield as the Sacred Land for their own Grail War. They were unable to successfully copy every aspect of the ritual, which led to it acting only as an imitation that has lost the Saber class and allowed for the summoning of strange Servants due to the definition of “hero” being blurred.

Like Whispers of Dawn, the full Fate/strange Fake series is directed by Fate/Apocrypha action directors Shun Enokido and Takahito Sakazume at A-1 Pictures with:

• Character designer: Yuukei Yamada (Fate/Apocrypha)
Scriptwriter Daisuke Oohigashi (Fate/Grand Order Divine Realm of the Round Table: Camelot Paladin; Agateram setting production and production assistant)
• Music composer: Hiroyuki Sawano (BubbleAttack on Titan)
