After joining DELiGHTWORKS back in 2016, creative producer Yosuke Shiokawa helped steer Fate/Grand Order toward becoming the goliath of the mobile world it is today. Now he’s making another big move, as DELiGHTWORKS confirms that he left in January and has formed his own studio, Fahrenheit 213.

Shiokawa fully owns his new studio, where he aims to develop new properties from scratch. The producer spoke to Bloomberg about the move, saying he plans to focus his career on “creating new game franchises for any platform, regardless of their size.” On the topic of going independent, Shiokawa added that it “opens up many opportunities to partner with other companies.”

Prior to his successful stint at DELiGHTWORKS, Shiokawa held various roles at Square Enix, where he worked on games like Kingdom Hearts II (planner) and Dissidia Final Fantasy (concept director), among others.
