#Extreme Hearts Original TV Anime From Nanoha Writer Premieres Summer 2022

A new original TV anime called Extreme Hearts will be broadcast this upcoming summer 2022. The project was created by Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha screenwriter Masaki Tsuzuki and revealed several key visuals to promote the series. The main voice cast members and production team for the anime were also revealed. 

Ruriko Noguchi voices Hiyori Hayama, Miho Okasaki plays Saki Kodaka, and Kana Yuuki voices Sumika Maehara. 

Masaki Tsuzuki is credited with the anime’s screenplay and original work. Junji Nishimura (Vlad Love) is director of the series while Waki Ikawa (Dog Days) handles original character designs. Issei Arakaki (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha Detonation) will be the chief animation director and Kana Hashidate (Magical girl Lyrical Nanoha Reflection) will serve as assistant animation director. Shuuichi Kawakami and Takuya Fujima (Warlords of Sigrdrifa) will contribute additional original character designs for the series. 

Extreme Hearts takes place in the near future, where the hobby of “Hyper Sports” has enhanced regular sports with special great and power-up items. The activity has become popular amongst both children and adults alike. The story follows Hiyori Hayama — a second year high school student who has no connection to “Hyper Sports.” However, after a chance encounter, her impressions of the activity change and she and her friends grow closer in pursuit of their athletic dreams.
