#Episode Nagi Releases Seishiro and Reo Character Visuals

Next year’s Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- anime movie has released character visuals for Seishiro Nagi and Reo Mikage, depicting them in their Hakuho soccer uniforms.

Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- is set to premiere in Japan on April 19, 2024. It is based on the Blue Lock spin-off manga of the same name, which features the viewpoint of Seishiro. The Blue Lock -Episode Nagi- manga began serialization in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine in 2022. 

The main Blue Lock manga started serialization in 2018 and has 27 tankoubon volumes as of December 2023. It is serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine and published under the Kodansha Comics label. Both Blue Lock and -Episode Nagi- are written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro, and drawn by Yuusuke Nomura and Kouta Sannomiya, respectively.

Kodansha USA describes Blue Lock‘s plot as:

After a disastrous defeat at the 2018 World Cup, Japan’s team struggles to regroup. But what’s missing? An absolute Ace Striker, who can guide them to the win. The Football Association is hell-bent on creating a striker who hungers for goals and thirsts for victory, and who can be the decisive instrument in turning around a losing match…and to do so, they’ve gathered 300 of Japan’s best and brightest youth players. Who will emerge to lead the team…and will they be able to out-muscle and out-ego everyone who stands in their way?

A 24-episode Blue Lock anime series premiered in October 2022. A second season has been announced.
