The titillating battles between schools continue in Shin Ikki Tousen, the newest TV anime adaptation from the long-running Ikki Tousen franchise, also known as Battle Vixens in the west. The newest series was announced today and will be adapting the Shin Ikki Tousen manga series from franchise creator Yuji Shiozaki and will air in 2022 on cable channel AT-X.

Shin Ikki Tousen began in the Young King OURs magazine in November 2015 after the original Ikki Tousen manga finished up in Comic Gum in August 2015. Shin Ikki Tousen has so far been collected into 4 volumes. The new series continues on from the previous work with Hakufu Sonsaku’s younger sister.
