#Dismembered tech CEO’s assistant pleads not guilty to gruesome murder

The trusted former assistant accused of killing and decapitating his tech CEO boss in Manhattan pleaded not guilty on Sunday to second-degree murder, according to a report.

Tyrese Haspil, 21 — who was charged with the grisly slaying of Gokada chief Fahim Saleh — entered the plea at an arraignment early Sunday, a spokesman for Legal Aid Society, which is representing Haspil, told FOX News.

Prior to his arrest Friday, Haspil had never had a run-in with the law, according to his attorneys, who urged people to remain open-minded about what may have happened in the case.

“We are in the very earliest stages of ferreting out the truth. The life of this case promises to be long and complex. As the attorneys for Mr. Haspil, we urge the public to keep an open mind,” Legal Aid Society attorneys Sam Roberts and Neville Mitchell said in a statement.

Saleh, 33, was discovered dismembered inside his $2.2 million Lower East Side apartment on Tuesday.  Haspil was allegedly then captured in surveillance camera footage buying an electric saw and cleaning supplies, which were found near the body, prosecutors said Saturday.

Authorities have said Haspil, who worked as “executive assistant” to Saleh, embezzled $100,000 from the tech honcho and was on a repayment plan to return the money — before killing him.

Saleh, who has been hailed by pals as “Elon Musk of the developing world,” was the CEO of Gokada, a Nigerian motorbike ride-hailing company.

Haspil’s next court date is scheduled for August.
