#Deranged Detective Gets 2nd Season

A second season of mystery anime Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective has been announced.

Season 1 premiered on October 2 with Crunchyroll streaming outside Japan. The term “1st Season” was used in relation to the first cour even before its premiere.

Ron Kamonohashi: Deranged Detective is based on the Shueisha-published manga by Akira Amano, which began in October 2020 and has 12 tankoubon volumes as of October 2023. The manga is serialized on Shonen Jump Plus.

Manga Plus describes the manga as:

This unusual duo brings the hidden truth into the light! Ron Kamonohashi, a private investigator with serious issues, and Totomaru Ishiki, a pure-hearted but dim police detective, team up to solve the most baffling mysteries! The anime was directed by Shouta Ibata (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) at Diomedea with My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU author Wataru Watari (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) as series composer, Masakazu Ishikawa (The Saint’s Magic Power is Omnipotent) as character designer, You Tsuji (The Mystic Archives of Dantalian) as music composer.

The cast includes Youhei Azakami as Ron Kamonohashi and Junya Enoki as Totomaru.
