“#Dawn and Her Piplup Returns to the Pokémon Journeys TV Anime After 9 Years”
It seems literally everyone is getting on the fun that is the current Pokémon anime series with almost of all Ash’s previous friends coming back into the fold for their own little arcs. For the “Summer Special Episodes” on July 23 and 30 in Japan, Ash, Goh, and Chloe are headed to the Sinnoh region to beat the heat, and catch up with Ash’s old friend from the region – Dawn! A new visual for the series has been released featuring Dawn, as well as a new trailer for the arc.
The last time Dawn was seen in the Pokémon anime series was in the Black and White arc when she was chilling in Cynthia’s villa and met up with Ash and Iris (who also recently reappeared in the anime series). Megumi Toyoguchi returns to the role for the Japanese version of the series, whilst it hasn’t been announced if Emily Jenness will return for the English dub.
The Pokémon Journeys TV anime, which will be rebranded as Pokémon Master Journeys later this year, is just titled Pocket Monsters in Japan, airs every Friday on TV Tokyo. Netflix streams the series in the United States, with the first 48 episodes currently on the service and no word yet on part five.
