The D4DJ multimedia franchise has announced that a second season of their anime project titled D4DJ All Mix will debut sometime this Winter 2023. The new season will feature all six musical groups from the franchise. 

More information about the second season has yet to be announced. Previous voice cast members from the first anime season, titled D4DJ First Mix, will be reprising their respective roles. The cast is headlined by Yuuka Nishio as Rinku Aimoto, Karin Kagami as Maho Akashi, Haruka Mimura as Muni Oonaruto, and Kanon Shizaki as Rei Togetsu.

The first season was directed by Seiji Mizushima (Beatless). Gou Zappa (How a Realist Hero Rebuilt the Kingdom) and Yuniko Ayana (BanG Dream! third season) wrote the series screenplay. Yachie was credited with original character designs while Takuya Chanohara (D_Cide Traumerei the Animation) handled animation character design. Ryouhei Sataka (Gleipnir) composed the anime’s general music score. CG animation studio Sanzigen handled the animation production for the series.

The first season aired from October 30, 2020 to January 29, 2021 and ran for 13 episodes. Bushiroad is credited with the original work and production credits. They announced worldwide streaming on various platforms, with Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Sentai Filmworks releasing the series in North America. 

The D4DJ franchise has inspired various manga, games, live events, and concerts. A short spin-off series titled D4Dj Petit Mix aired from February to July 2021, featuring key characters in chibi form. 

Funimation describes the first season as:

Having moved back to Japan from abroad, Rinku Aimoto transfers to Yoba Academy where DJing is popular. She is deeply moved by a DJ concert she sees there, and decides to form a unit of her own with Maho Akashi, Muni Oonaruto, and Rei Togetsu.

While interacting with the other DJ units like Peaky P-key and Photon Maiden, Rinku and her friends aim for the high stage!
