“#Cuteness Overload with “Cells at Work!” Platelet-chan Cast Doll”
DOLK, an Osaka-based company which deals in dolls and artworks from all over the world, announced today that its official online store DOLKSTATION will start accepting pre-orders for a cast doll (ball jointed dolls produced using the resin casting process) inspired by Platelet, one of the popular characters from the Cells at Work! franchise, on July 2 at 19:00 (JST).
The press release for the product writes, “Platelet-chan is a personification of the platelets that repair damaged blood vessels in the body. Her head was sculpted by DOLLIPOP, which specializes in anime-like deformation, and her make-up was done by an artist to recreate her cute, healing smile.”
The price for the 26 cm-tall doll is 93,800 yen (including tax / 846 USD), and pre-orders will be accepted from July 2 to August 16 at 23:59 (JST). Shipping is scheduled to begin in September 2022.
