Plenty of others in the Kansas City sports world were quick to congratulate the Chiefs, too.
The fireworks that started going off across the city were even picked up by the National Weather Service.
Patrick Mahomes led the Chiefs to a comeback 38-35 win after putting up 17 points in the fourth quarter to win their second Super Bowl in four years on Sunday night. Mahomes, who went 21-of-27 for 182 yards, threw three touchdowns in the win and earned Super Bowl MVP honors.
