Crunchyroll Licenses Strawberry Prince the Movie Anime Film This Summer 2025
Crunchyroll has announced that it will begin streaming Strawberry Prince the Movie sometime in Summer 2025 worldwide. The Japanese title for the anime film is Gekijoban SutoPuri Hajimari no Monogatari: Strawberry School Festival!!!! and first premiered in the country on July 19, 2024.
Strawberry Prince the Movie will be streaming on Crunchyroll worldwide, except in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, and Korea.

The film will also begin screening in Taiwan on June 21, 2025 and in Thailand on June 28, 2025. Additionally, encore screenings will also launch in Japan starting May 9, 2025 at AEON cinema chains across the country, with special film reels given out to attendees as presents.

Naoki Matsuura (Liar Liar co-director) is directing the anime film, with Chika Suzumura (Burn the Witch, Kurage no Shokudo) as scriptwriter, Yumi Nakamura (Liar Liar) as character designer, Takahiro Yoneda (Twin Angel: Twinkle Paradise) as art director, and STPR Records as music producer. LIDENFILMS is in charge of the animation production.
Strawberry Prince is a Japanese entertainment idol unit under STPR that was formed in June 2016. The group’s current members consist of Rinu, Root, Colon, Satomi, Jel, and Nanamori, who all star as the film’s voice cast.
The group’s leader Nanamori is credited as the film’s original creator, chief production supervisor, and planning producer. His off-stage persona Masato Kashiwabara is credited with the original story.
Strawberry Prince has released several studio albums, mini albums, and extended plays, as well as inspiring their own smartphone game StrawPri With!! and a radio talk show. They also performed theme songs for the Yo-kai Gakuen Y: N to no Sogu and Cardfight!! Vanguard overDress TV anime series. Some members of the group provided voice guest roles for characters in Yo-kai Gakuen.
Group member Jel is also producing an anime film adaptation of his spinoff short video series Toi-san, which is scheduled to debut in Japan on July 18, 2025.
