“#Classic Studio Ghibil Film Soundtracks Are Getting Remastered on Vinyl”

Get your record players ready, Joe Hisaishi is coming to be played! Animate International revealed yesterday that four more vinyl records will be joining the Studio Ghibli Vinyl Records collection with remastered songs from Ponyo, The Wind Rises, and The Tale of Princess Kaguya, with new covers, commentary, and liner notes to help complete these releases.
The first Ponyo soundtrack is an image album containing 10 tracks with 6 vocal tracks featuring the voice work of Fujimaki Fujioka and Nozomi Ohashi, Little Carol, Fujimaki Fujioka, Nozomi Ohashi, Mai, and lyrics inspired by Hayao Miyazaki‘s notes during production, and 4 instrumental tracks, all with music by Joe Hisaishi. The other three releases feature orchestral versions of the music from Ponyo, The Wind Rises, and The Tale of Princess Kaguya with scores by Joe Hisaishi.
Pre-orders for all the vinyl records are up right now at animate International with the image album at a low of 3,800 yen (US$36) up to 4,800 yen (US$45.55) for the full soundtracks for a release on April 24.
