A teaser trailer and visual have been released for The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World anime adaptation. 

The promotional material’s release was accompanied by the announcement of The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World‘s main cast and its staff. The former includes Junya Enoki as Ray White, Inori Saeki as Amelia Rose, and Nana Harumura as Elisa Griffith.

Meanwhile, the latter includes Masahiro Takata (Nil Admirari no Tenbin director and audio director) as director, series composer, and audio director, Makoto Shimojima (The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt and Magatsu Wahrheit -Zuerst- animation director) as character designer, Studio Recess’s Ayumi Kojima (Fate/Grand Order: Himuro no Tenchi – 7-nin no Saikyou Ijin-hen co-art director) as art director, animocaramel’s Natsumi Uchida (The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt) as photography director, and Tatsuhiko Saiki (The Dawn of the Witch) and Natsumi Tabuchi (My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! co-music composer) as music composers.

The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World is set to premiere sometime in January 2023. It is based on the light novels written by Nana Mikoshiba and illustrated by Riko Korie. The book series began in 2020, a year after the story began publication as a web novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou. A manga adaptation by Sasaki Nobuhito began the same year. 

Both the light novels and manga are published by Kodansha, with the former published under the Kodansha Light Novel Bunko label. The sixth volume of the light novels will be released on October 3 this year.

The Arnold Academy of Magic is a school for the elite…and Ray White is just your ordinary guy. In fact, he doesn’t seem particularly skilled with magic at all, and is a bit of a klutz. Which is why he has nothing to do with the rumor that one of the great magicians, the Iceblade Sorcerer, is a member of the incoming class…right?
