#Black Butler Musical to Return with New Cast Members in Spring 2021

The official website for the musical adaptation project based on Yana Toboso's popular dark fantasy manga series Kuroshitsuji / Black Butler has announced that its new show titled "Musical Kuroshitsuji – Kishuku Gakkou no Himitsu – / Musical Black Butler – The Secret of The Boarding School -" is set to be performed in Tokyo and Osaka in the spring of 2021. The manga had its first stage play adaptation in 2009, and it will have been three years since its seventh show "-Tango on the Campania-" in 2017-2018.

The new show is based on the manga's "Kishuku Gakkou-hen / The Public School Arc," which was told in its 14th-18th volumes, and all performers will be changed from past shows. The protagonist Sebastian Michaelis, who was portrayed by Yuya Matsushita and Yuta Furukawa in the past, is newly played by 26-year-old Toshiki Tateishi (Seiichi Yukimura in The Prince of Tennis musicals), while another protagonist Ciel Phantomhive is played by 20-year-old Eito Konishi (Hanako-kun in Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun stage play). And 37-year-old Ryosuke Okada is cast as Soma Asman Kadar, along with 32-year-old Kandai Ueta as Undertaker.

Fumiya Matsuzaki (Mobile Gundam Suit 00 stage play) is attached to direct on a script by Two hats Ltd. Further details such as venues and ticket information will be announced at a later date.
