#Chibi Godzilla Raids Again Anime Returns on April 3
A new teaser visual and PV trailer have been released for the sequel to the short Chibi Godzilla Raids Again anime series. The sequel series will begin broadcasting on April 3, 2024 as part of “Oha! Star” TV program.
Both the visual and trailer parody the main visual poster for the 2023 Japanese film Godzilla Minus One, with Chibi Godzilla posing side-by-side with his more menacing counterpart.
Previous episodes of the series were posted to GODZILLA OFFICIAL by TOHO YouTube channel with English subtitles.
Taketo Shinkai (Anime Kaisha de Hanasu Koto ka yo) is returning to direct the Chibi Godzilla Raids Again sequel, along with illustrator Chiharu Sakazaki (Chibi Godzilla designer) as character designer. Pie in the sky is the animation production company for the series once again, which Shinkai co-founded and serves as creative director in.
Meanwhile, the returning voice cast from first series includes:

- • Reina Ueda as Kojibin (Twin Fairy) Older Sister
- • Fumihiko Tachiki as Chibi Hedorah

- • Miyuki Sawashiro as Chibi Biollante
- • Rie Takahashi as Chibi Mothra
- • Takuya Eguchi as Chibi Ghidorah
- • Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Chibi Mecha Godzilla
Chibi Godzilla Raids Again aired for a total of 13 episodes from April 1, 2023 to June 24, 2023. Each short lasted for around two-minute-and-forty-seconds.
The short anime series is inspired by the Chibi Godzilla designs that were announced in 2018, leading up to Godzilla‘s 65th anniversary in 2019. The designs debuted in the children’s book Do Your Best, Chibi Godzilla! and have since appeared in other picture books, a music video, and the 2020-2021 short-form 3D-animated web series I’m Home! Chibi Godzilla. They have also been used for various products like T-shirts, onesies, pocket books, and many more.
The series is described by TOHO Animation as:
A little robotic monster washes up upon the shore and is given an extra warm greeting by a very special local. Who, or what, awaits him in this strange new land…?
