#Chargers’ Justin Herbert looks completely different after haircut

Chargers star rookie quarterback Justin Herbert stunned the masses Wednesday, revealing he ditched his brown locks for a cleaner, shorter look.

“No particular reason, it was time and just getting too long, it was time to cut it,” the 22-year-old told reporters.

The sixth overall pick in this year’s draft dismissed the notion he cut it over superstitious reasons, despite a three-game Chargers losing streak and a 2-7 record for the team.

Herbert did let slip that LA’s strength and conditioning coach, John Lott, knows his way around a pair of scissors.

“He said he was good with the clippers,” Herbert said, per USA Today. “I think he did a good job.”

In less shocking news, Twitter had some things to say about Herbert’s transformation.

“I legit can’t concentrate now that I’ve seen Justin Herbert’s haircut…,” ESPN’s Kimberley A. Martin tweeted.

“Justin Herbert said the last time he got a haircut was 2017 or 2018. This is absolutely FASCINATING,” The Athletic’s Daniel Popper shared.

“Five reasons the Chargers will win this week because Justin Herbert got a haircut— My Column,” 247 Recruiting’s Kevin Wade posted.

As Wade also noted, the Chargers play the Jets this weekend.
