One of the craziest manga that has ever run in Weekly Shonen Jump is finally being adapted into a TV anime. The newly opened official Twitter account for Chainsaw Man announced today that Tatsuki Fujimoto’s popular manga will be moving into the TV anime space thanks to the team over at MAPPA alongside a teaser image.

It was further announced that the manga isn’t actually ending today, with part 2 of the series being serialized on Shueisha’s digital Shonen Jump+ service in the near future. It seems that Chainsaw Man was too much for the paper version of Jump to handle!

Chainsaw Man finished its serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump today and was being simulpubbed on Viz Media’s Shonen Jump app in English, who are also releasing physical volumes of the series. Viz describes the first volume as such:
Denji’s a poor young man who’ll do anything for money, even hunting down devils with his pet devil-dog Pochita. He’s a simple man with simple dreams, drowning under a mountain of debt. But his sad life gets turned upside down one day when he’s betrayed by someone he trusts. Now with the power of a devil inside him, Denji’s become a whole new man—Chainsaw Man!

More details on the upcoming TV anime adaption of Chainsaw Man and the forthcoming second part of the manga series will likely be revealed during the stage event for the series at Jump Festa 2021 this weekend.
