#Celebrities react as Joe Biden becomes president-elect

After a lengthy wait for results, Joe Biden has been elected the next president of the United States, much to the delight of these A-list backers.

While celebrity Trump supporters have been mum so far, praise for Biden immediately erupted online, with several big names congratulating the nation’s next commander-in-chief, including Lizzo, Ariana Grande and even Kim Kardashian.

Barbra Streisand

Brooklyn’s own Babs shares her performance of “Happy Days are Here Again” in celebration of Biden’s win.

Lizzo

A teary-eyed Lizzo took to Instagram to emotionally process the win, believing that Trump simply “didn’t care” about the American people. She also took pride in knowing a black woman will hold office as Vice-President for the first time in US history.

Amy Schumer

The comedian was one of the first to congratulate Biden and future Vice President, Kamala Harris, on their win, writing, “This is such a big deal guys!! We did it. Anyone else crying like a monster? Millions made their voice decisively clear: they chose @joebiden and @kamalaharris to guide us to a better future!

Mindy Kaling

The funny lady tweeted that she was brought to tears after learning of the win, focusing on the significance of Harris’ election to VP.

Pink

Singer Pink also took to Twitter to celebrate the good news.

The author cited CNN results before sharing his thoughts on Trump’s “wretched, wretched presidency.”

Singer Grande thanked the almighty after learning of the results.

Khloé Kardashian

Despite brother-in-law Kanye West’s failed bid for president, Kardashian celebrated the Biden win.

Shortly after Khloé, West’s wife congratulated the Biden-Harris ticket by posting a photo along with three heart emojis.

Bette Midler

The stage and screen icon tweeted how grateful she is that Biden pulled out the victory, but still believes Pres. Trump will sully the moment with “conspiracy theories.”

Shakira

The Columbian songstress gushed over Biden’s win, calling him “civil and compassionate.” She also looks forward to, “this new phase of unity and healing that begins now with Biden as new president elect.”

John Mulaney

The stand-up celebrated the Biden win by posting an illustration of the tail-end of a horse, referring to his infamous bit where he likened Trump’s presidency to a “horse being loose in a hospital.”

The actress — who played the Vice-President on HBO series “Veep” — tweeted, “‘Madam Vice President’ is no longer a fictional character.”

Fellow “Seinfeld” actor Jason Alexander took a sip from his “Cup of Joe” mug while imploring citizens to give Biden a chance to make real change.

The playwright and actor shared a GIF from his stage play, “Hamilton,” to commemorate the victory.
