Everyone is very waku waku for the upcoming second half of the SPY x FAMILY TV anime, so much so that even though the creditless opening theme song video was only released less than two days ago, the video, which features BUMP OF CHICKEN’s “SOUVENIR,” has already surpassed 4.5 million views and is steadily climbing by the minutes. The official Twitter account for the TV anime released a cute gif to celebrate the now much surpassed 3 million views.

Famed anime director Tetsuro Araki (Death Note, Attack on Titan seasons one to three) directed the opening theme song video “SOUVENIR” at WIT Studio. One of the two studios that help in the production of SPY x FAMILY, with the other being Cloverworks. Araki said in a tweet that he was “honored” to work on the opening theme song video being “guided by the beautiful music and lyrics.” The director also mentioned that he used videos of his own daughter as references for the shots with Anya.

The second half of the SPY x FAMILY TV anime is set to start on October 1, continuing to adapt the original manga series by Tetsuya Endo and is serialized on the Shonen Jump+ web service. Crunchyroll streamed the first cour and will be streaming the second cour, describing the series as such:
