THE BACHELOR: THE GREATEST SEASONS Ð EVER! -
THE BACHELOR: THE GREATEST SEASONS Ð EVER! – “Kaitlyn Bristowe” – Kaitlyn Bristowe forged her own path on her journey to find love, creating one of the most controversial seasons in franchise history. It all began with two Bachelorettes from Chris Soules’ Bachelor season Ð Kaitlyn and Britt Nilsson Ð vying for the affections of the bachelors that first night. Once Kaitlyn officially became the Bachelorette and earned the right to capture one lucky man’s heart, all bets were off. The next episode of “The Bachelor: The Greatest Seasons Ð Ever!” airs MONDAY, JUNE 15 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. (ABC)

Does ABC stand a chance against CBS with The Bachelorette on Tuesdays?

ABC is switching things up for the fall. One of the big moves is putting The Bachelorette on in the fall. The show is also going to air Tuesdays, going up against NCIS and The Voice.

Is this a good move by ABC? Usually, the network opts for two hours of comedy shows, but there’s a change this year. There’ll only be one night of comedies, offering two nights of unscripted shows followed by an hour-long drama on Mondays and Tuesdays.

It could be a good thing for the network up against NCIS on Tuesday. CBS rules the roost on Tuesdays with its crime drama lineup. Roxanne certainly proved successful and The Conners has tried to keep it up, but overall, viewers tune in for NCIS routinely. It will take another big show to takeover the timeslot.

A loyal following for success

The Bachelorette stands a chance. Bachelor Nation as a whole has a loyal following, and fans have waited since May for the series. Unfortunately, the show couldn’t film in time for the May premiere due to COVID-19, but there are hopes that it can film in time for September or October.

However, it is worth pointing out that The Bachelor failed to pull in the same ratings as NCIS during winter 2020; we have to consider The Bachelor as that was the midseason show. As a May show, The Bachelorette pulls in lower ratings than The Bachelor. Of course, we could see the figures tick up a little more with a change of night and a move to the fall.

It will certainly be good competition against The Voice on NBC. With the two being unscripted shows with around the same following, it’s possible that this is the main concern for ABC.

ABC does have a good plan. While the show may not take over CBS’s NCIS, it stands a good chance of taking over NBC’s The Voice.

One thing this will be is a good test to see if ABC is better off having two nights of unscripted shows. They are cheaper to produce and often pull in better ratings than scripted shows, so it could be a better financial option for the network.

What do you think about ABC’s decision to air The Bachelorette Season 16 in fall? Could it take on CBS and NBC? Share your thoughts in the comments below.

The Bachelorette Season 16 will air on Tuesdays at 8/7c on ABC in the fall.
