“Key Glock announces Yellow Tape 2 (Deluxe), shares “Pain Killers””

The single is one of 10 new tracks on the expanded album, due out March 25 via Paper Route EMPIRE.

This past November, Key Glock dropped Yellow Tape 2, the follow-up to his studio debut (2020’s Yellow Tape) and a long string of mixtapes stretching back to 2016. On March 25, the Memphis rapper will share Yellow Tape 2 (Deluxe) via Paper Route EMPIRE, the imprint created by his late hometown legend and mentor, Young Dolph, who signed Glock in 2017. The expanded album will clock in at 83 minutes and feature 10 new tracks. Glock has now released the first of these, “Pain Killers,” along with an arctic visual treatment.

The new song is an ice-cold anthem, featuring a SLAUGHTER instrumental that combines an old-school Spanish guitar sample with a heavy trap beat. “I ain’t got no feelings, I will pop you like a painkiller,” Glock raps on the chorus with the monotone inflection of a psychopath.

In the track’s equally wintry video, he rides through a snowy landscape in a yellow Rolls Royce and takes his pet goat for a walk. Watch it above and view Key Glock’s upcoming tour dates below.
