The Villain I Never Was is out now.
Last year saw the release of Black Sherif’s The Villain I Never Was, the debut album from the Ghanian artist and one of our favorite albums of 2022. “Oh Paradise,” a single from that album, was written in the wake of the passing of Sherif’s high school partner; its music video, out today, offers a fictionalized version of that tragedy, depicting the death, funeral, and memories of their life together. Watch above. In June, Black Sherif shared visuals for “Oil In My Head,” and he got his own GEN F profile in January.
