Ben Platt is best known for his acting right now, but he’s also a singer and songwriter. He’s looking to release a track, which has brought him to Songland. Here’s how to watch him on Songland Season 2, Episode 9.

During the previous episode, we watched Bebe Rexha make history on the series. Instead of picking one song, she chose two songs. They complimented each other well, with the verse of one being more meaningful than the other but the hook of the other standing out more than the first.

What to expect on Songland Season 2, Episode 9

In this episode, it’s Platt’s turn. You’ll know him well for movies and shows like Pitch Perfect and The Politician. However, before that, he had a career on the stage, including Broadway. He’s been in the likes of Les Miserables, The Book of Mormon, and a new take of Alice in Wonderland.

His focus on a music career outside of theater came with his role in Pitch Perfect. Now he’s looking for someone to write him a song, which offers an unknown songwriter the chance to build their career.

Four hopefuls will share their tracks that they’ve created for him. Like in previous episodes, Platt will pick three to head to the studio for development and then will choose one (or maybe more?) to record himself.

It’s the perfect timing for Platt to appear on the show. The Politician Season 2 dropped on Netflix last month, so he’ll be at the front of many fans’ minds.
