The former Minneapolis cop charged with murder in George Floyd’s death after pressing his knee on his neck for almost nine minutes will make his first court appearance Monday.

Derek Chauvin, who is charged with second-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter, will make a virtual appearance before a judge in the afternoon, according to Local 21 News.

He was initially charged with third-degree murder, but prosecutors later added the upgraded charge.

The three other former cops involved in Floyd’s death — Thomas Lane, J. Alexander Kueng and Tou Thao — were charged with aiding and abetting second-degree murder and aiding and abetting second-degree manslaughter.

Meanwhile, the third and final memorial service for the slain 46-year-old will be held Monday in Houston, where he grew up and lived before moving to Minnesota.

The six-hour viewing – from 1 to 7 p.m. EST — will be followed by a funeral service and burial next to his mother on Tuesday in Pearland, a suburb of Houston suburb, CBS DFW reported.
