Back in 2019, Toronto DJ/producer Bambii released her debut single “NITEVISION,” a razor-sharp cut of progressive dancehall with vocals from Jamaican artist Pamputtae. Two years and one global pandemic later, Bambii makes her long-awaited return with “TRUCK RIDDIM.” It’s the title track from her upcoming EP, out this year, and features BEAM, the Kingston vocalist who recently appeared on Justin Bieber’s album Justice. Searing and sexy, “TRUCK RIDDIM” equips staccato piano chords and one seriously sci-fi bassline and fires them off with brutal efficiency. It sounds like the big sister of “NITEVISION” in more ways than one. Have a listen below.
