Rico Nasty is about to give her 2020 Nightmare Vacation album a new digital life.

The Sugar Trap rapper has aligned with artists such as Jim Jones, Post Malone and Lil Pump as leaders within the convergence of Hip Hop and cryptocurrency following her latest partnership with digital art marketplace SuperRare.

In an Instagram post on Friday (March 19) Rico announced her one-of-a-kind audio reactive non-fungible token (NFT) inspired by the visual to her breakout single “OHFR” — which has amassed over 13 million streams on Spotify and more than three million views on YouTube since last November.

“I’m dropping My First NFT with @donalleniii on @superrare.co !On Monday March 22nd! This is inspired by the OHFR music video, only the first get the signed physical hammer from the music video! to view the auction for the NFT click the link in my bio,” Rico wrote in the caption.

For 48-hours only, fans will have a chance to purchase the single-edition NFT, designed by XR creator Don Allen III. Following the auction, the “Smack A Bitch” femcee will participate in an interactive conversation moderated by Lady PheOnixon the Clubhouse app March 22nd at 9PM EST – join the conversation with this link. The owner of the NFT will also receive a the authenticated physical hammer featured in Rico Nasty’s official “OHFR?” music video.

Rico’s “OHFR” NFT marks a new shift that pushes the boundaries between tech and creative artistry, also known as “CryptoArt” and monetizing the artwork as a verified authentic assets on the Ethereum blockchain. NFT’s are like collectible art pieces or sports cards and essentially serve as a digital certificate of authenticity for objects or even events. Over the course of the last month multiple artists have broken into the cryptocurrency market with their own NFT’s, resulting in some serious bags of cash.

Azealia Banks made a cool $17,000 in an online NFT auction on March 9, with the sale of her innovative 24-minute audio sex tape I FUCKED RYDER RIPPS — that was almost instantaneous re-listed for sale at $270 million by a mysterious digital artist identified as Rulton Fyder, just 16-hours after it was originally auctioned, Insider reports.
