#’Bachelorette’ allegedly kept Clare Crawley for big ‘twist’ exit

#’Bachelorette’ allegedly kept Clare Crawley for big ‘twist’ exit

Looks like there may have been more thorns than roses behind the scenes of “The Bachelorette.”

Professional franchise spoiler Reality Steve recently claimed that it was the show’s production team, not Clare Crawley, that made the decision for her to leave Season 16 early.

Since the summer, rumors have swirled that Tayshia Adams, 30, replaced Crawley, 39, shortly into the upcoming season, which premieres Tuesday, Oct. 13. After the cast was revealed online, the coronavirus put production on hold for months, leaving Crawley ample time to look up her potential suitors online and talk to them. Allegedly, Crawley fell for contestant Dale Moss during this time period, Steve claimed.

“By the time filming officially began, they were basically already in love. No one else stood a chance. It just became so obvious from her subsequent few dates that her heart wasn’t in it and she just wasn’t feeling it. Then she said she wanted out,” an insider source told People at the time.

However, Reality Steve says otherwise.

“Based on the timing of when we heard Tayshia was headed to [the resort] to begin quarantine then film (it was nine days after Clare’s first night), I can report to you that this was in [production’s] plan before Clare’s season started,” Steve alleged. “They knew Clare would be removed at some point during this season and replaced as the bachelorette by Tayshia. Did Clare know? No. Did the guys know? No. But production sure as hell did.”

Steve’s sources apparently confirmed to him that Crawley and Moss did indeed fall for each other before meeting on the show. However, the blogger alleged that production knew this was going on — and wanted it to continue so Crawley’s departure could be the season’s dramatic “twist.”

His post claimed that Adams was on set quarantining while Crawley was still going on dates with her men.

“Production ‘knew’ Clare and Dale were gonna end up being a thing based on pre-show conversations, knowing that this season might be boring because of the one location shoot, they decide to have Tayshia ‘ready’ to go once Clare and Dale went down,” he wrote.

Reality Steve also claimed that production brought the idea to Crawley for her to leave the show early because they had Adams on deck to replace her.

The Post reached out to ABC for comment on the allegations. The network has yet to respond.
