At its Anime NYC 2022 industry panel, Azuki has announced that they have added four new manga titles for its digital manga subscription service. The new manga include Natsume & Natsume, Tribals, Toki, and Myosotis. Tribals and Toki are available to read today while Myosotis will be released on December 3, 2022.

The first manga is an exclusive license for Azuki called Natsume & Natsume by Shunsuke Sorato (The Girl with the Sanpaku Eyes), which will be released worldwide in English. A free preview of the manga series is now available on the service and the first three chapters will launch on December 2, 2022. The manga was first launched in Comic ELMO on June 30, 2020. 

Azuki describes Natsume & Natsume as: 

High schooler Natsume Shiranui has the face of a villain, but secretly he yearns to be a hero like his childhood friend — the kind, brave, and beautiful Natsume Minazuki. Can he become her hero, or is he destined to always be the one getting rescued?

Azuki will also be adding three titles published by indie manga publisher Star Fruit Books to its digital library. The first of them is Tribals by writer Yoshiaki Tabata and artist Yuuki Yogo (Ninja Slayer). The one-shot manga was first published in the 15th issue of Shonengahousha’s Young King magazine on July 9, 2007. 

The manga is described by Azuki as: 

Mizuhara is a klutzy high school student by day, but by night another personality takes over: Tribal, a scantily clad assassin who crawls the streets of the dangerous R-18 district in Tokyo.

Another new manga is Tatsuya Ihara’s 2018 one-shot manga Toki. Star Fruit Books describes the synopsis as: 

Toki is set in 1959, and follows the story of a midwife named Toki Ihashi, living in Yashio village, Saitama. She has been providing childbirth assistance to the village for many years. However, in 1948, after the war, the GHQ promoted American-style hospital births. This put midwives, whose livelihood was home birth, in danger of going out of business.

Lastly, Myosotis is the latest one-shot from acclaimed manga artist Minami Q-ta (Pop Life, The Blood Red Boy). The 37-page manga will also be available in the first issue of Star Fruit Books’ upcoming Comic Bright magazine.

The Azuki app features over 200 series, including Attack on Titan and My Dear Detective: Mitsuko’s Case Files. Azuki releases simulpub chapters on the same day as Japan for 14 series including EDENS ZERO and A Sign of Affection. The service has also started licensing its own exclusive manga such as Hikaru in the Light! and Turning the Tables on the Seatmate Killer! among others. All titles are available worldwide, except in Japan.

Azuki is available on the iOS App Store and Google Play Store. It can be accessed free with advertisement or a premium account for a monthly fee of US$4.99. A 14-day free trial and discounted annual plan are also available.
