#Attack on Titan Manga Opens Up Online Exhibition to Celebrate Final Volume

Attack on Titan

The final volume of Hajime Isayama‘s Attack on Titan manga released today in Japan, giving fans closure on the 12-year old series. Celebrations for the volume’s release have been happening all day all throughout Japan and the internet, with bookstore employees dressing up in Corps gear, an online exhibition to look at the history of each character in the series, and a way to create your own Survey Corps member.

Both the online exhibition and the character creator are in Japanese (and under high demand today!), but are pretty easy to navigate for English-speakers, with the online platform that is hosting the exhibition being English-based. All the leading and important characters get their own section in the exhibition, letting you enjoy looking back at their history in the series.

Animate and Tsutaya stores all over Japan celebrated the release of the 34th volume by having their staff wear Survey Corps jackets and do the corps salute when the stores opened this morning.

The Attack on Titan manga started in September 2009 and has so far released 33 volumes of the series in Japan. The final volume, the 34th, is scheduled to be released on June 9. Kodansha Comic releases the series in English, with each chapter released simultaneously on Crunchyroll as they came out in Japan.
