#Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 Releases Character Trailer for Main
A character promotional video for Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 has been released, with protagonist Main (Yuka Iguchi) being the subject of the new trailer. The show is set to premiere in April.

Ascendance of a Bookworm Season 3 is based on the TO Books-published light novel series written by Miya Kazuki and illustrated by You Shiina. The books began in 2015 and have 28 main volumes as of November 2021. The story began as a web novel published on Shousetsuka ni Narou and has inspired a multi-part manga adaptation.

Crunchyroll describes the first season of the anime as:

Avid bookworm and college student Motosu Urano ends up dying in an unforeseen accident. This came right after the news that she would finally be able to work as a librarian like she had always dreamed of. When she regained consciousness, she was reborn as Main, the daughter of a poor soldier. She was in the town of Ehrenfest, which had a harsh class system. But as long as she had books, she didn’t really need anything else. However, books were scarce and belonged only to the nobles. But that doesn’t stop her, so she makes a decision… “If there aren’t any books, I’ll just create some.”

The returning staff includes Mitsuru Hongou as director, Mariko Kunisawa as series composer and scriptwriter, Emiko Endou as chief animation director, Ryouka Kinoshita as art director, Miyoko Ichinose as color designer, Naoki Kitamura as photography director, MICHIRU as music composer, and Yoshiaki Yanagida and Toshihisa Kaiya as character designers. Ajia-do is producing the show.

New staff members include Haruka Matsunae (Banana Fish) as a third character designer and Noriko Otake (HaikaraSanHere Comes Miss Modern: Part 2) as a new chief animation director.

Meanwhile, all main cast members from the previous seasons are returning, with Kazuhiko Inoue is joining the cast as Sylvester.
