Arab Strap have announced a new album titled I’m totally fine with it 👍 don’t give a fuck anymore 👍. Due out May 10, it will be the Scottish duo’s second LP since their 2021 return from a 16-year hiatus. Like that year’s As Days Get Dark, the new record is scheduled to arrive via Mogwai’s Rock Action Records.

Along with I’m totally fine…’s announcement, Arab Strap have shared the projects lead single, “Bliss,” an ominous but irresistible rock/disco hybrid that addresses the dystopian chaos into which internet discourse at large has descended since the band’s beginnings in the mid ’90s. “It’s about women being terrorized online,” vocalist Aidan Moffat explains. “It’s about cowardice and bigotry. It’s about how we expose ourselves on social platforms while hiding alone at home. But you can dance to it too!”

“Bliss” comes with a music video from Glasgow-based director Ains starring Edinburgh-based dancer Molly Scott Danter, who writhes across a tiled platform in an abandoned office space, in front of a wall of windows that look out over a cityscape at night.
