iCloud passwords for Windows
Apple, Windows

After a long wait, Apple has finally released a new version of iCloud that brings its popular password managing tool to Microsoft Edge and Windows. Users can find the new iCloud Passwords app in the iCloud v12.5 update.

With this release, users will be able to search through saved passwords, add new ones, update passwords as they’re changed, and delete old auto-fill logins that are no longer needed. This is a super helpful update for those who use an iPhone but still love their Windows machines.

If you want to give it a try, Apple posted an explainer on managing your iCloud Passwords with the newly released app. Find it from the Start Menu, and the rest is relatively straightforward. As expected, any changes will automatically sync and update on any of your Apple devices. You can also move it to the taskbar or desktop for easy access.

Unfortunately, just like Apple’s Chrome extension that synced iCloud passwords, the new Windows solution isn’t all that great. It’s as minimal as it gets, with tons of useful features missing that you’d get from more popular password managers. Still, it’s better than nothing.
