An April release window has been announced for the Alice Gear Aegis Expansion TV anime.

The accompanying tweet also revealed that the show, which is inspired by the Alice Gear Aegis game, will be themed around the Actress‘ friendship and bonds.

The Alice Gear Aegis “bishoujo x mecha 3D action game” was first released in Japan in 2018 on Android and iOS, with a PC release following in 2019. The game has inspired several manga, a light novel, and an OVA.

QooApp describes the game’s premise as:

Alice Gear Aegis is set in a future Tokyo. Players take the role of a commander that leads an army called Tokyo Shard. Together with the Alice Gear girls, his job is to save the people who wander in the vast universe. Their first target is Narukozaka Manufacturing.

Like the Alice Gear Aegis OVA, Alice Gear Aegis Expansion is directed by Hirokazu Hanai (Don’t Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro Season 1) with Rikiya Okano (“Tokyo Autumn Session” music video) as character designer and Nomad as the animation production company. Kenji Sugihara (A Certain Scientific Accelerator) is the series composer, while Gundam Build Divers Re:Rise co-mecha designers Fumikane Shimada, Kanetake Ebikawa, and Takayuki Yanase are handling behind the original character and mecha designs. Original creator Pyramid is supervising the show.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Manami Numakura as Yotsuyu Hirasaka, Maaya Uchida as Sitara Kaneshiya, and Yui Ishikawa as Fumika Momoshina.
