Like the website Anime2You reports, the 73-episode series will be released on disc next year on KSM Anime. Exact information such as extras, release date or whether it will also appear on Blu-ray is not yet available, but should be communicated at a later date.

“Monster Rancher” comes from TMS Entertainment (“Detective Conan”) and celebrated its German premiere on RTL II in 2001. It was later broadcast on the pay-TV channel FOX KIDS. The last broadcast, then on TELE 5, was 15 years ago.

The evil Moo tries to get all monsters under his control, so he sends his evil troops. But Holly and Suezo want to prevent this and awaken the mighty Phoenix bird. Genki is sure that the phoenix is in the CD he came along with. But only a cute little monster appears. That he calls Mocchi after the dinosaurs have been routed one more time. With Holly and Suezo and their newfound friend Mocchi, Genki sets out to put an end to the evil one. But they shouldn’t be just four of them for long. “Tiger,” the son of the wind, Golem and Haki join the group.
