#A Crocodile Who Lived for 100 Days Anime Film Gets New Release Date of July 9

While the crocodile who stole our hearts may have passed, his memory lives on through the friends he made and their story in the upcoming anime film A Crocodile Who Lived for 100 Days. Earlier this month, the film was delayed due to the “spread of the coronavirus,” which saw cinemas across the country shut down to try and stop the spread during the ongoing State of Emergency, but today, the film got a new scheduled release date of July 9. An updated trailer was released to coincide with the news.

A Crocodile Who Lived for 100 Days tells the tale after the passing of the titular croc in the web manga series, A Crocodile Who Will Die in 100 Days by Yuuki Kikuchi, that went viral in early 2020. As the title of the manga suggests, the comic’s 100-day run ended with the (offscreen) death of the comic’s protagonist, a friendly crocodile with a relatively average life and friend group. The film will continue that story with the addition of a few new characters.

A Crocodile Who Lived for 100 Days will be directed by Shinichiro Ueda (One Cut of the Dead) with the animation produced at TIA. It is scheduled to be released on July 9.
