Netflix has adapted some great romance books, but these five deserve consideration

It’s hard to believe how impressive Netflix’s catalog is. Some of us still remember when we got DVDs in the mail from the company. With the launch of its streaming service, Netflix has seemingly taken over the entertainment world.

In particular, Netflix has a knack for finding both shows and movies that their audience falls in love with. Considering how big of a media giant they are though, it isn’t surprising.

One genre Netflix has been killing it in is book-to-movie/show adaptations. Since they started adapting books into movies or TV shows, their popularity has surged. With series like Thirteen Reasons Why wrapping up and To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before about to wrap up, Netflix needs some new content.

Recently, they announced that they were working on an adaptation of the romance series, The Bromance Book Club by Lyssa Kay Adams.

If you’re unfamiliar, the series currently has two books out with a third coming in the fall of 2020. The series follows these high-profile men who live in Nashville and are part of the “Bromance Book Club” in which they read romance novels to help better their own romantic lives. It’s a unique concept and Lyssa Kay Adams has proven she knows exactly what she’s doing if you’ve read the books.

It’s no surprise Netflix hopped on the chance to adapt such a beloved series. However, there is plenty of other series who deserve their time in the sun. In particular, these other five romance book series should be considered. While they might not be as popular as The Bromance Book Club, these five books could be hits for Netflix if they decide to give them a chance.
