#4 killed, at least 11 wounded overnight as NYC shootings continue

Four people — including a city Correction officer — were killed and at least 11 were shot overnight as deadly gunplay continues to ravage New York City.

The latest fatality occurred shortly after 6:30 a.m. Saturday in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, when police from the 67th Precinct responded to reports of a person shot at the corner of East 39th Street and Avenue D. Cops discovered a 30-year-old man shot once in the torso. The victim was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

There are no arrests and the investigation is ongoing. A police source said cops are looking for a woman who fled the scene in a gray SUV, and that the incident “may be domestic in nature.”

The latest shooting occurred at 10:30 a.m. A 40-year-old man was shot in the arm on a subway platform at Grand Central Terminal, law enforcement sources told The Post.

The shooting —  on the southbound, No. 4 train platform — is believed to be a random attack, and the gunman remained at large Saturday afternoon.

The day’s bloodshed began when a man was was grazed in the back of the head with a bullet on Herkimer Street in Brooklyn at 12:30 a.m., police said.

Just before 1 a.m., a 30-year-old Bronx man was shot in the torso on 128th Street in Harlem. He was pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing.

The gunplay continued with four shootings in less than two hours, police said.

At about 1:20 a.m. a man was shot on Belmont Avenue in Brooklyn. He was taken to an unknown hospital in critical condition.

Around 2 a.m., a man walked into Brooklyn’s Brookdale Hospital and told cops he was shot on E 95th Street and Avenue L. Police found nine shell casings at the scene.

At 2:25 a.m., a man was grazed in the back of the head on Thomas S. Boyland and Dean streets in Brooklyn. Just 10 minutes later, two men were shot on Dean Street and Park Place nearby. One of the men was shot in the arm, the second victim was shot in the back.

Around 3 a.m., 28-year-old city Correction Officer John Jeff of Queens was gunned down at a party on Ridgedale Street. Responders found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds, including to the head and torso. Jeff, who had two years on the job, was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital Medical Center. His killer remains at large.

Ninety minutes later, a 36-year-old man was killed in a street fight  on Christopher Street in the West Village around 4:30 a.m. When police arrived, they found the victim unconscious on the ground. He was pronounced dead at Lenox Health Complex. No arrests have been made.

Police also reported three women and one man were shot at a block party on Malcolm X Boulevard between 112 Street and 113 Street in Harlem. Their injuries are believed to be non life-threatening, according to reports.

As of 2 p.m. Saturday, the bloody week of shootings had left 78 people shot in 57 incidents, according to preliminary NYPD data.
