Marine Drive

Juhu Beach

Elephanta Caves

It has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site is a fine specimen of mediaeval architecture and rock-cut art. They are situated on the Gharapuri or Elephanta Islands and are part of the Mumbai Harbour.

They offer an incredible view of the skyline of the city. It is visited by many people from Mumbai, India. At present what remains are mostly ruins of what were well painted artworks. There are two groups of cave temples that date back over a thousand years.

One is a small group of two Buddhist caves and one a larger group containing five Hindu temples. The HIndu caves contain several important sculptures dedicated to Lord Shiva  In addition, it is also a trekking site too.

Colaba Causeway

Gateway Of India

The monument was built in 1924 and overlooks the Arabian Sea. Its construction was undertaken by well-renowned architect George Wittet to honour the visit of Queen Mary and King George V to Mumbai. It is also the starting point to several ferry services going to the Elephanta Caves.

It is made from a combination of yellow basalt and solid concrete and embellished with various Hindu and Muslim motifs. Prior to independence the monument served as an entry and exit point to India through waterways. Statues of Chhatrapati Shivaji and Swami Vivekananda have also been installed near it.

Film City Mumbai

It is considered by many as the home of Bollywood and spans across an area of about 520 acres.It has around twenty indoor studios and is capable of accommodating a 1,000 erected film sets simultaneously. It is one of the most popular places in Mumbai and provides top-notch facilities.

An estimated 900 movies or so have been shot here in addition to several TV shows as well. There are also excursions organised in their premises that are meant to be educational towards those interested in filmmaking. It also has refreshing expanses and beautiful greenery. 

Prince Of Wales Museum

It is regarded as one of the important heritage buildings in Mumbai and is now known as the ‘Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya’. Its foundation stone was laid down on November 11, 1905 by the Prince of Wales. On January 10, 1922 it was established as a museum.

Its facade sits in the midst of an expansive green garden and is considered a sight to behold. It houses around 50,000 artefacts that are related to India’s history. It has been rated as a Grade I Heritage Building and is one of the nation’s most prominent museums. It is a great place for nerdy tourists in Mumbai, India
