“#Gingerbread monolith found in California park, then crumbles”
That’s the way the monolith crumbles: a gingerbread knockoff of the perplexing plinths that have popped up around the world has collapsed in San Francisco.
The monolith had been found at a California park just in time for Christmas.
Photos on social media show the edible edifice decorated with white icing and gumdrops while standing tall at Corona Heights Park in San Francisco Friday morning.
Residents got to see the sweet treat before it collapsed Saturday, according to KGO-TV.
It’s unclear how the cookie monolith got there or how it crumbled.
The gingerbread monolith was similar to others found around the world. The first monolith appeared at a Utah desert, then in Romania and Southern California.
