2nd Trailer for Yuri Mecha Anime Volicia of Pluto Chapter Two: Gunjou Released

The indie yuri mecha anime Volicia of Pluto Chapter Two: Gunjou has received a second trailer ahead of its May 30 JST screening at Shimokitazawa’s Tollywood. 

The movie was first screened at Nagoya’s Osu Cinema on April 21 JST.

The first installment, Volicia of Pluto Chapter One: Gouka, was released on YouTube in July 2023 with an English caption option. The premise saw high school girl Akio Hoshigami, who loses her chance of becoming a track-and-field runner due to a leg injury, piloting a giant robot that is powered by the soul of her best friend, Ayano Umisoe.

Crowdfunding for the third and final Volicia of Pluto chapter is currently underway on CAMPFIRE. 1,612,859 yen (~US$11,250) has been raised since the campaign’s start on April 21 JST, surpassing its 1 million yen goal. The campaign has 27 days to go at the time of writing.

Director Arata Hirasaka previously made 2021’s Vapor Trail and 2022’s Penetrate Blue: -Vapor Trail Another Age 2824-, which are also available on their YouTube channel. A web novel version of Vapor Trail was serialized on Kakuyomu from 2020 to 2021.
