Australian sharks are so bold they’re now pulling people from boats.

A 10-year-old boy was hospitalized this week after a shark “grabbed him from a boat and attacked him off the coast of Tasmania,” CNN reported.

The boy and his father were fishing in the shark-infested waters off Stanley, Tasmania, when the maneater struck.

“The boy’s father jumped into the water at which point the shark swam off,” authorities told CNN. “The boy, who was wearing a personal flotation device, suffered lacerations to his arm, and other cuts to his chest and head.”

It is the winter of “Jaws” Down Under, with over 11 shark attacks reported so far.

On Tuesday Anika Craney, 29, was hospitalized after being attacked while swimming off Fitzroy Island near Cairns. Mani Hart-Deville, 17, was killed by a shark off Wooli Beach south of Brisbane last week, and a scuba diver was mauled to death by a shark near the Great Barrier Week over the July 4 weekend.
