#Zero Season 2 Gets PV For Its Second Cour

Kadokawa released a PV for Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- Season 2′s second cour, which is due to premiere on January 6, 2021. The PV features the show’s new opening song, “Long Shot,” by Mayu Maeshima. 

The video’s description roughly translates to, “In trying to save the people important to him, Natsuki Subaru has died and experienced despair repeatedly.  However, the heart of the boy who cannot save what he wants to save has worn down. At the moment where he is thrust to the very bottom, a final hope is offered by a ‘friend.’”

The show’s staff includes Masaharu Watanabe (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World) as director, Masahiro Yokotani (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World, Wasteful Days of High School Girls) as series composer, Kyouta Sakai (STEINS;GATE, Sankarea) as character designer and chief animation director, Kazuhiro Outa (Re:ZERO – The Frozen Bond) as action director, and Kenichiro Suehiro (Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World, Fire Force) as music composer. 

The second season’s first cour, which aired in July after being postponed due to COVID-19, introduced new cast members including Maaya Sakamoto as Echidna, Nobuhiko Okamoto as Garfiel, Aimi Tanaka as Ryuzu Bilma, and Kaori Nazuka as Frederica Baumann. The returning cast from the first season include Yusuke Kobayashi as Subaru Natsuki, Rie Takahashi as Emilia, Takehito Koyasu as Roswaal, Rie Murakawa as Ram, Kouhei Amasaki as Otto Suwen, Satomi Arai as Beatrice, Yumi Uchiyama as Puck, and Inori Minase as Rem.
