Yu & Himari Face Each Other in New Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? Key Visual
A new key visual has been released for the ongoing Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? TV anime series, which showcases the main leads Yu and Himari facing each other in an important moment. The anime will begin broadcasting in Japan on April 4, 2025 and is scheduled to run for 12 episodes.
Yohei Suzuki (Sugar Apple Fairy Tale) is directing the anime series, with Nozu Yaemori as series screenwriter and Natsuki Oyama (2.5 Dimensional Seduction Episode 11 co-animation designer) as character designer. J.C.Staff is handling the animation production.
Other staff include Pony Canyon’s Jun Ichikawa (Baban Baban Ban Vampire, Engaged to the Unidentified) as music composer and Magic Capsule’s Jin Aketagawa (The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?) as sound director.
Meanwhile, the anime’s main voice cast stars:

The anime is based on the romantic comedy light novel series written by Nana Nanana and illustrated by Parum. It is known in Japanese as Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) or Danjoru for short. The light novels were first published by ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko label on January 9, 2021 and has released 11 volumes as of April 2025, which includes the second part of the fourth volume and two side story collections. A manga adaptation by Kamelie was launched in August 2021.
Plus Media Networks Asia licensed the series for release in Southeast Asia and is streaming it on Aniplus Asia.
