#Your Google or Nest Speaker Can Find Your Missing Android Phone – Review Geek

Despite my phone being more or less grafted to my hand these days, I still manage to lose it constantly. There are a few ways to go about finding it: use a web tool, use a Tile tracker on my keys. But if you have a Nest speaker, the easiest way is to give Google Assistant a voice command.

With any Nest- or Google-branded smart speaker, or any compatible speaker that uses the Google Assistant, just speak the voice command “Hey Google, find my phone.” If you’re logged into the same Google account on both the speaker and the phone, Google can send a message to the latter to make it ring. This works even if your phone is on silent, even if it’s not connected to the same local network as the speaker. It also works if you have multiple Android phones logged into your Google account.

This command works with the Google Home Mini or Nest Mini, the new Nest audio, screen/speaker combos like the Nest Hub or Google Home Hub, or even third-party speakers that work with Assistant. There is just one thing you need to do to make sure this works: go into the Android settings menu, tap “Security,” then “Find My Device.” Make sure that this option is enabled (it’s turned on by default when you first set up your phone).
