YoungBoy Never Broke Again has made some major moves from house arrest in Utah, switching labels from Atlantic to Motown, sharing albums like January’s I Rest My Case, and keeping his crown as the king of rap YouTube with the help of some truly excellent exclusives. Today, he reunites with Nicki Minaj for “WTF,” a new track that marks their third collaboration. Watch the music video above; YoungBoy’s portion was shot in Utah, while a separately-filmed Minaj plays a ballet instructor closely monitoring her pupils.
YoungBoy is under house arrest due to weapons charges in Louisiana. Speaking to Billboard in February, he said that the detainment was “the best thing that ever happened to me,” disavowed the violent lyrics in his older music, and expressed interested in converting to Mormonism. His forthcoming album is titled Don’t Try This At Home. This year, Nicki Minaj launched her own record label with Nana Fofie, Tate Kobang, Rico Danna, and London Hill as its first signees and shared the single “Red Ruby Da Sleeze.”
