Yo Gotti was getting ready to release the next installment in his beloved Cocaine Muzik mixtape series on Friday (November 26), but it looks like plans have changed. The Collective Music Group boss announced CM10 is being pushed back.

Gotti unleashed the news on his Instagram on Friday (November 25) with a simple post showing a graphic of CM10 and a caption that read, “Verified #CM10 Still Loading…. NEW DATE Stay Tuned.”

The tenth entry in the mixtape series was going to be split into two different albums titled Free and Game. The album was supposed to release the same day, but it’s unsure if those plans are still intact since there’s no explanation why Gotti is pushing the album back.

Fans may think it has something to do with the death of Gotti’s former rival Young Dolph. In their minds, Gotti could be honoring his former foe who was gunned down on November 17 while buying cookies for his mother at Makeda Cookies in their hometown Memphis, Tennesee.

Gotti and Dolph were embroiled in a feud that started in 2014 after the Paper Route Empire boss turned down signing with him. The two rappers then threw disses at each other on social media and on wax, but things slowed down in recent years.

Hours after Dolph’s murder, rumors were going around that people shot up Yo Gotti’s restaurant Prive and his artist Blac Youngsta’s grandmother’s house in Memphis, but that turned out to be false. Police did, however, temporarily shut the restaurant down and stood guard.

Regardless of the reason why Gotti pushed his album back, he was surely excited to drop it. In his Instagram post announcing the album last week, he explained how important it is to drop.

“This Project was made for a purpose, it’s Called “Free Game” it’s to give u messages & tell u Da experience of a Young Hustla Dat come from da Hood but ended up in a position no one Expected him to be in,” Gotti wrote in the caption. “Him being Me , From cutting 2dollars off a Dime bag of weed From touching 6 Figures at 16 I’m From North Memphis , Ridgecrest Apts Dam a lot Done Changed I only came back to give u da Game ! Da information ! NOVEMBER 26th #BlackFriday”

He added, “I’m going against what everybody told me ‘Dropping 2 Albums on the Same day DONT MAKE SENSE’ Me : I’m a Ex Drug Dealer Turned Executive NONE OF THIS SH!T MAKES SENSE Fuck da charts We doing this for da Culture – 2 Albums da same Day #CM10 “FREE” & “GAME”, SIDE A & SIDE B #DoubleDisc #CMGRecords #Supa 11/26.”
