Yashahime: Princess Half–Demon‘s second season will release this fall, the anime’s Twitter page has revealed. The second season’s existence was revealed in March, following the end of the show’s first season.

The first season’s staff included Teruo Sato (Inuyasha) as director, Katsuyuki Sumisawa (Inuyasha, Mobile Suit Gundam Wing) as scriptwriter, Rumiko Takahashi as main character designer, Yoshihito Hishinuma (City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes) as sub character designer, and Kaoru Wada (3×3 Eyes, Battle Angel, The File of Young Kindaichi) as music composer. Sunrise was in charge of the animation production.

Meanwhile, the main cast of the show includes Sara Matsumoto as Towa Higurashi, Mikako Komatsu as Setsuna, and Sara Matsumoto as Towa Higurashi.

Yashahime: Princess Half–Demon‘s first season ran from October 2020 to March 2021 with two cours. The show is a sequel to Inuyasha, which was based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi.

Crunchyroll describes the show as:

Set in feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her into present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi’s brother, Sota, and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel that connects the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to be reunited with Setsuna, who is now a demon slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa’s shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister.
